La corónica offers this blog to members of the hispanomedievalist community as a way of continuing discussions begun in professional meetings and engaging in additional discussions concerning current events relevant to our field. The blog was originally inspired by open letters by Hispanomedievalist colleagues addressed to the Medieval Academy of America, which we reproduce in our first post.

The blog will be moderated by the editors of La corónica. We ask that all entries follow the MLA guidelines for forum posting in order to keep the blog’s focus on issues of scholarship. We welcome comments in English and Spanish.

NOTE: The content and views expressed on this site are intended to further academic discussion in the field of Hispanic Medievalism and are not offered for a political purpose or in support of any particular political cause or position.
